Medley and 2 of the 50m events ( Back, Breast or Fly) will then be eligible to swim in Grade “2” galas, and will no longer be considered Grade “3” swimmers.

To qualify for Grade “A” swimmers must achieve the qualifying times in 200m Frontcrawl and 200m IM or the 200m Frontcrawl and two of the other 100m events (either the 100m Fly, or 100m Backstroke or 100m Breaststroke), or the 200m IM and two of the other 100m events ( either the 100m Fly, or 100m Backstroke or 100m Breaststroke).

Mallow Masters – Gala Report

“Mallow Masters” Invitational Gala was hosted for the 6th year on Saturday 6th December 2014.

“Mallow Swimming Club” provided their venue for a great days competitive swimming. Clubs from Munster, Leinster & Connaught provided the opposition on the day.

Askeaton Swimming club had three swimmers representing us on the day. Anthony Sheehy, Paul Shapre and Thomas King had a very successful outing and did their club proud, recording a total of 13 medals and all had PB’s.

The “Host” club provided an array of food and brverages during the break which were very welcom.

Thanks to Askeaton Pool & Leisure Centre for the early morning opening. This was a huge help for our “training sessions” for the last couple of months which paid off on the day.

Gala Results:

Anthony Sheehy: 3 Gold – 3 Silver

Thomas King: 1 Gold – 3 Silver

Paul Sharpe: 2 Silver – 1 Bronze
